Donna Bartos
Military, Campus, Sports and Corporate
“Can we actually uproot abuse in a single generation?” That is the "big hairy audacious goal" that gets Donna out of bed every morning. For the last twenty years, she has been on a mission to move past just talking about violence prevention and start doing it at the root level. Her founding work at BLOOM365 (Bring Love On Others More, 365 Days a Year) isn’t just based on textbooks and evidence; it’s fueled by her own lived experiences with childhood sexual assault, domestic violence, teen dating abuse, workplace harassment and stalking. As a firm believer in "prevention in practice," Donna’s expertise lies in turning complex theory into high-impact action. She has developed several evidence-informed resources, trainings and curricula utilized by schools, military installations, Major League Baseball teams, advocacy organizations and corporations, designed to bridge the gap between research and reality. Beyond her programmatic work, you can find Donna hosting the "Uproot Abuse" podcast, where she addresses the “elephants in the room” that often stand in the way of preventing the next generation of offenders. She also serves on the Arizona Governor’s Commission to End Intimate Partner and Gender Based Violence. She holds a bachelor’s in communication and a master’s in public administration and is currently exploring PhD programs to further reinforce her vision to scale up root cause prevention. While this mission is her life's calling, Donna also finds immense joy in the everyday. You’ll find her traveling the world on the hunt for the perfect gluten-free pastry or never shying away from a karaoke mic. Above all, Donna cherishes the moments spent with her husband, their three children, and their two dogs at their home in Peoria, Arizona.
Maddie Armentrout
Military, Campus, Sports and Corporate
"We are starting the next wave of the movement to end interpersonal violence." Since 2020, Maddie has dedicated her work to violence prevention and response. As a young person who experienced dating violence in college, she knew that there had to be a way to prevent violence early. Maddie works with BLOOM365 as their Digital Outreach Manager and leads their Peer Advocate Crew. She also works for End Violence Against Women International (EVAWI) creating training to help advance the criminal justice response to gender-based violence. Maddie serves on the National Collective for Violence Prevention as a Steering Committee member.
Alex Palacios
Sports and Corporate
Advocacy is more than guiding survivors through a system; it is about ensuring their voices are heard, their rights are protected, and their power is restored. Alejandro (Alex) is a dedicated advocate whose work supporting survivors of abuse began in 2010 as a volunteer at a domestic violence shelter in Phoenix, Arizona. There, he provided essential lay legal advocacy services to victims of domestic and sexual violence. Building on this foundation, Alex served as a trainer with the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence from 2013 to 2016. Throughout his career, Alex has held several specialized roles to protect and empower survivors, including working as a Technology Safety Specialist with the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV). In this capacity, he provided critical training and technical assistance on safety planning and threat assessment regarding technology-facilitated abuse. Most recently, Alex served as the Victim Advocacy Training Manager at the National Organization for Victim Advocacy (NOVA). Currently, he is a contracted trainer for BLOOM365 USA, delivering the 3 R's Playbook Curriculum to Major League Baseball players in both English and Spanish. This ongoing work builds upon his previous experience with BLOOM365, where he served as a Lead Advocate and Trainer.
Gracie Bartos
Faith-Based
Gracie Bartos is a student at Dartmouth College where she studies Religion and Classics. Gracie grew up watching the way that faith spaces played dual roles: both as libraries of action against violence and, at times, as silent witnesses to abuse. Working alongside clergy and congregants, Gracie’s advocacy grounds clerical practices in safety and accountability in order to mitigate the epidemic of sexual violence scandals within churches. Gracie was recognized as the Arizona 2026 Truman Scholar for her work on church state separation, and she is pursuing ordination within the Episcopal Church. In her free time, Gracie enjoys hiking, reading, and meeting dogs.

His work is defined by the belief that technological and structural innovation, when paired with radical empathy, can solve society’s most longstanding issues.
Ishita Sathe
Peer-to-Peer
“How can we make it easier for young people to ask for help?” That question has guided my work ever since I joined BLOOM365 three years ago. What started as a volunteer opportunity quickly became a passion after I saw how education, empathy, and honest conversations could help prevent relationship violence before it begins. Over the past three years with BLOOM365, I have served as a Lead Peer Advocate Intern and now as a member of the Peer Advocate Council. I have organized school and community awareness campaigns, mentored younger advocates, and worked with peers to promote healthy relationships and violence prevention. One experience that had a lasting impact on me was BLOOM365's Elephant in the Room project. Seeing people anonymously share experiences they could not say out loud inspired me to create HearMee, an iOS app that expands BLOOM365's mission through an anonymous community space and a trauma informed AI chatbot. My goal is to make support feel more accessible and less intimidating for young people. Outside of BLOOM365, I enjoy exploring how data science and artificial intelligence can be used to improve healthcare and mental health. I currently work as a Technical Product and AI Intern at MiiHealth AI, and I hope to continue combining technology and advocacy to create tools that make a meaningful difference.
